Pru Life UK Strengthens Commitment to Inclusive Education with Adopt-a-Madrasah Rollout in CDO

Pru Life UK is expanding its Adopt-a-Madrasah programme to Cagayan de Oro as the company ramps up efforts to enhance support for underserved Muslim communities in Mindanao.

As part of its Takaful journey, Pru Life UK aims to empower more Muslim communities through the Adopt-a-Madrasah programme, which highlights the importance of financial security, technology upskilling, and climate and health preparedness. Pru Life UK was the first in the country to be granted a Takaful (Islamic insurance) operator licence by the Insurance Commission.

The launch of the Adopt-a-Madrasah in Cagayan de Oro marks the final leg of the initiative for the year. The rollout builds on the successful implementation of the programme in Bangkal, Davao City earlier this year, where three community Madaris were also provided with digital learning equipment, in collaboration with Pru Life UK’s circular economy partners, Humble Sustainability and LiteHaus International.

The Adopt-a-Madrasah programme was piloted in 2024 and featured the distribution of school materials, hygiene kits, and a creative workshop conducted by Pru Life UK employees and agent volunteers.

These efforts are conducted in partnership with local Muslim community leaders and government partners. Through the programme, the company reaffirms its mission to be a trusted partner and protector for generations, uplifting lives through education, empowerment, and sustainable development.
