From Manila Streets to the Global Stage: Filipino Dancer to Compete at Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final in India

There is a lot of excitement in the air as the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals, one of the most intensive and eagerly awaited dance competitions, approaches. As the only Philippine representative in the Finals, Filipino locking maestro Klockwise is preparing for the tournament.

Top dancers from around the globe will compete for the title of this season's World Champion at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai, India on November 9.

The dancer from Valenzuela won the National Finals in Manila on September 28th, earning him the title of National Champion. He defeated fifteen other dancers from across the nation, each of whom added a unique flair to the dance floor. Klockwise ultimately won the title because to his brilliant freestyle performances that had the perfect balance of theatrics to enthrall the audience.

The road to the World Final was a long one, but for Klockwise, the journey has just begun. The National Champion is more than ready for the challenge, happily grabbing the chance at representing the Philippines on the world stage. “I am bringing the Filipino dance community and the whole Philippines with me,” said the dancer.

“(I will show) who I am, who Klockwise is on stage. (It’ll be like) I will have my own concert at the World Finals,” he claimed.

All Eyes on Mumbai for the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final

Red Bull Dance Your Style is a unique global 1-on-1 dance competition that challenges dancers to bring out their most impressive and most captivating improvisation and freestyle skills. Dancers creatively come up with their moves spontaneously to random, unpredictable hits from hip hop, disco, funk, pop, rock, and more. Unlike other dance competitions, Red Bull Dance Your Style gives the audience the power to decide who wins each battle round, inviting dancers to embrace the moment, feel the beat, and captivate the crowd.

Klockwise is set to battle against 49 dance hopefuls from all over the world for the title as the Red Bull Dance Your Style 2024 World Champion.

It culminates with the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final after 145 public events in 49 nations. Mumbai will host a Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final Week from November 5 to November 9 in anticipation of the big day. Workshops, panel discussions, performance showcases, and other enjoyable activities honoring dance and highlighting the international dance community will all be part of the week-long celebration.
