Sun Life Philippines and its executives are concluding the year on a positive note, as they garner recognition from esteemed award-giving bodies both locally and regionally.

In the Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability (ACES) Awards in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sun Life achieved a notable double victory. The company was lauded as one of the Industry Champions of The Year, acknowledging its adeptness in adapting the business focus to navigate dynamic industry changes and maintain market leadership. Simultaneously, Benedict Sison, the CEO and Country Head of Sun Life, received recognition as one of Asia’s Most Inspiring Executives, honoring his leadership that has propelled the company to unparalleled business productivity and organizational efficiency.

Sun Life continued to shine in the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA), securing the Corporate Excellence Award for its effective talent mobilization and organizational capabilities, consistently delivering business results while remaining aligned with the organization’s purpose. Michelle Cordero-Garcia, Chief HR Officer of Sun Life, personally accepted the award at the ceremony in Singapore.

On the local front, Garcia herself was honored in the Philippine HR Awards with the Platinum HR Leader of the Year Award. This accolade acknowledges her accomplishments in driving innovative workforce initiatives and demonstrating excellence across various facets of human resources.
