Araneta City welcomes Cardinal Tagle at Sagrada Familia Church

Araneta City was graced by the presence of His Eminence Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle as he presided over a special Eucharistic celebration on September 16th at the Sagrada Familia Church, situated atop the New Gateway Mall 2.

Cardinal Tagle was accompanied by Fr. Ariston Sison Jr., Fr. Ronaldo Santos, Fr. Antonio Labiao Jr., and Fr. Carmelo Caluag during this significant service at the brand-new church in the City of Firsts. Attending the service were members of the Araneta family, Araneta Group executives, tenants of Araneta City malls, and other invited guests.

Cardinal Tagle also led the blessing of the Sagrada Familia Church altar, a ceremony signifying the church's readiness to open its doors to the public.

Situated on Level 5 of the New Gateway Mall 2, Sagrada Familia Church will serve as a spiritual haven for people from all walks of life. The fully air-conditioned, mitre-shaped church boasts an all-white interior, inspired by The Oculus in New York City, and can accommodate up to 1,000 worshippers.

With its high ceiling design and a prominent hanging cross crafted by sculptor Wilfredo Layug, the church exudes a sense of grandeur and reverence.

Cardinal Tagle's visit coincided with the benefit dinner for his TV show, "The Word Exposed," scheduled on the same day at Novotel Manila Araneta City.

The opening of Sagrada Familia Church at the New Gateway Mall 2 to the public is imminent.
