Review: The Coffee Street Manila (Kitchen x Brew)

If you are in La Salle/Taft area and looking for a coffee shop to eat or drink a coffee, you must try Coffee Street Manila.

The Coffee Street Manila is a newly opened coffee shop and restaurant along Taft at the back of the De Lasalle University. They offer a variety of typical and signature coffee blends and a combination of western and Filipino meals.

Ambiance: 9/10

The interior and ambiance of the shop are similar to other shops, minimalist, clean, and cozy. But what makes it unique for me are those book drop lights. Honestly, this is my first time seeing a drop light like that. I find it creative and relevant since the shop is near a school and the majority of their customers are students. The book drop light can represent the knowledge that students could get from reading a book. And that knowledge can be their guide in achieving their goals. So Kudos to Coffee Street Manila for that.

Fast service: 10/10

I hate waiting when I am hungry. But in Coffee Street Manila, I don’t need to wait long to get my food. In just 10 minutes, your order will be served. And that is a good job!

Affordability 10/10

Affordability is given in this shop since they cater to students. With just a range of 100-150 pesos, you can enjoy a hearty meal and a cup of coffee.

Food 9/10

We tried everything on their menu and I can confidently recommend everything! The foods are really good. But if I will to choose three, that will be their Lechon belly, pesto pasta, and hash brown.

The Lechon belly has crispy skin and tender meat. The layer of fat is just enough to add juiciness and flavor to the meat.

The hashbrown is full of flavors. All the elements/ingredients complement well.

And lastly, the Pesto. I love that the sauce is not too strong but you can still taste the pesto flavors. I also like that it is a bit spicy as it gives an additional layer of flavor.

Coffee 9/10

On their coffees, I recommend their Spanish latte. The balance of the coffee and the milk is perfect. There is the coffee kick and a bit of sweetness from the milk.
