Restaurant Review: Sizzling Palace - authentic Arabic and Halal-certified restaurant.

Sizzling Palace is a Halal-certified restaurant located in Isetan Recto, Manila. They are offering a fusion of Filipino and Arabic cuisine.

What is Halal?

Halal comes from the Arabic term hal meaning to make permissible. In Islamic terms, it means permissible according to the rules of Islam.

In Islam, all foods and beverages are Halal except those explicitly forbidden in the Quran.

But Halal foods are not only for Muslims. Christians also love to eat in Halal-certified restaurants for the reason that foods are served well, clean, and healthy.

The Restaurant 

Besides its good food, Sizzling Palace offers a unique vibe with its retro/pop culture-inspired interior. Memorabilia and antiques are used to decorate the entire resto. The ambiance adds flavor to your dining experience which makes you more excited about what their menu has to offer.

The Food

It’s honestly hard to choose from their menu. There are familiar foods, especially in the Filipino selection and there are also unique ones. I suggest you choose from both Arabic and Filipino food.

The food tastes so good! As expected, the flavors are strong and authentic. I love how the flavors play in your mouth. I also noticed that the meat is very tender and easy to eat.

If I will choose one from their Filipino and Arabic selections, I will choose their bulalo for Filipino food. The meat is tender and the soup is oozing with flavors. It is not your typical bulalo it has a hint of Arabic taste to it. And surprisingly, it goes well with the flavors of the bulalo.

But my favorite is the Chicken Biryani. I feel the #foodgasm, the curry is just right, there is the umami flavor, and the texture of the rice is good too. Their chicken biryani makes me want to go back very soon.

I don’t have any complaints about the food and the restaurant. I am giving it 9/10 because I believe that there is always room for improvement.

Sizzling Palace is one of the restaurants that I can confidently recommend to everyone.
